Nuevo Video de ChronoS en la Histórica Tocata Reunion de Profesores del Año 2002.
Historia
Chronos nace el año 1983 cuando Claudio Martinez (guitarra) y José Ihnen (bajo) se juntan para formar una banda. Luego de componer algunas canciones, buscan un baterista que se uniera al proyecto, esto se concreta con la llegada de Eduardo Topelberg
Con la base completa se dedican a ensayar las canciones y a buscar vocalista. Aparece un cantante, Fernando Lagos, con estudios de canto lírico lo que le aporta al grupo un estilo mas clásico.
Muy luego comienzan a tocar en algunos colegios y pubs con buena recepción en el público, lo que los lleva a ser invitados a un recital con varias bandas en el mítico gimnasio MANUEL PLAZA en su primera incursión ante audiencias mas grandes.
Luego de este período se aleja de la banda Fernando Lagos por motivos personales ,dejando igual un legado a la banda en cuanto a su cercanía con la música clásica.
Luego de buscar un tiempo vocalista, se integra Rodolfo Vasquez , quien se queda como un año en la banda, destacandose su participación en la FONDA ROCK evento que se lleva a efecto durante las fiestas patrias de 1985, con una duración de cinco días es una especie de woodstock en miniatura, y por su escenario pasan diversas bandas emergentes como massacre, rust , turbo etc.. . CHRONOS es elegida la banda mas popular.
Luego de la fonda rock, Vasquez se retira del grupo por diferencias musicales quedando CHRONOS otra vez sin vocal en corto tiempo. Luego de algunas pruebas finalmente Jose Ihnen toma el papel de vocalista y bajista lo que da al grupo su formación definitiva , con la cual se presentan por primera vez en una gira nacional autodenominada "Hungry Tour" la que abarca tres ciudades de Chile , Concepción, Pomaire y Valparaiso tocando en el también mítico Fortín Prat, a estas alturas la banda ya tiene una buena cantidad de seguidores.
En el año 1987 se graba el primer demo oficial de la banda MEDIEVAL TALES el cual rapidamente se posiciona entre el publico y a través del circuito de fansines internacional, recibiendo muy buenas criticas en varias revistas. Este demo se vende solo por llamado telefónico y a pesar de eso se vende muy bien con una cifra no oficial de mas de 1000 unidades.
El conocimiento de los temas por parte del publico marca una nueva etapa en la vida de CHRONOS lo cual se manifiesta en los recitales donde el publico ya corea las canciones.
Es por esa época cuando CHRONOS se presenta en el Estudio 27 , lugar donde es registrado en vivo la actuaci?n de la banda sonido que fue rescatado como único registro de esa época.
A pesar del éxito que estaban teniendo ,dentro del grupo se estaban produciendo algunos roces típicos de la larga coexistencia grupal lo que llevo a la banda tomar un receso. Cerrando así la primera etapa del grupo a comienzos de 1988.
La música de CHRONOS , esta influenciada por varias tendencias , partiendo por el heavy metal clásico de los ochenta,
el THRASH , la música clásica en especial Wagner y Vivaldi, y en cuanto a las temáticas de las letras principalmente la mitología
germánica y vikinga , y temas de guerreros y batallas.

History
Chronos is born year 1983 when Claudio Martinez (guitar) and Jose Ihnen (Bass) joins itself to form a band. After composing some songs, they look for a drummer who was united to the project, this takes shape with the arrival of Eduardo Topelberg

After this period Fernando moves away of the band by personal reasons, leaving a legacy to the band as far as his proximity with classic music equal.
After looking for a singer , arrive Rodolfo Vasquez, who stays itself as a year in the band, standing out its participation in the FONDA ROCK event that takes to effect during the celebrations 1985 mother countries, with a duration of five days is a species of woodstock in miniature, and by its scene they pass diverse emergent bands like massacre, rust, Spectro etc. CHRONOS is chosen the popular band but.
After Fonda rock, Vasquez retires again of the group by musical differences being left CHRONOS without singer in short time. After some tests finally Jose Ihnen takes the paper from vocalista and bear which gives to the group its definitive formation, with which they appear for the first time in a national tour self-appointed "Hungry Tour" the one that also includes three cities of Chile, Conception, Pomaire and Valparaiso touching in the mythical Prat Bunker, at this point the band already has a good amount of followers.
In year 1987 demo is recorded first official of the band MEDIEVAL TALES which quickly are positioned through international circuit of fansines, receiving very good you criticize in several magazines. This demo is sold single by telephone call and in spite of that nonofficial of but of 1000 units is sold very well with a number.
The knowledge of the subjects on the part of I publish mark a new stage in the CHRONOS life which is pronounced in the recitales where I publish sings already the songs.
It is by that time when CHRONOS appears in Study 27, place where is registered live performance of the band, sound that was rescued like only registry of that time. (Is in the page now)
In spite of the success that they were having, within the group some typical rubbing of the long group coexistence was taking place what I take to the band to take a break. Closing therefore the first stage of the group at the beginning of 1988.
The music of CHRONOS, this influenced by several tendencies, starting off by heavy classic metal of the eighty,
the THRASH, classic music in special Wagner and Vivaldi, and as far as thematic of the letters mainly mythology
germanic and viking, and subjects of soldiers and battles.
